Patch 1.05

Before the end of February we plan to release a new patch 1.05 for all editions of ArmA that will ensure an internationally unified game environment. The patch will also improve various aspects of the game for the existing users, including:

* reworked and improved multiplayer game browser screen

* improved Voice over Net

* dedicated server platform underwent big stability and performance improvement

* ability to turn off grass in video options and grass flattened around soldiers for improved visibility.

* visually improved and smoother LOD switching

* various performance and stability optimizations

* new modern style GPS device displaying small map on top of game view in some situations for easier navigation

* support for more keyboard shortcuts to actions

* generally improved AI (including driving and combat)

* new content: Su-34 Fighter and Su-34 Bomber, TT650 and M1030 military motorcycles, AKS74PSO, KSVK, M107 and M16A4

* and more...

Ach ja, meine Fehlinvestition'06! Die muss ich doch irgendwo in einer Ecke meines Zimmers noch rumliegen haben. ;)

Könnte man ja fast mal wieder ausprobieren, ob ich jetzt nicht gleich wieder in der ersten Tutorial-Mission fiese Bugs finde ^^

also meines erachtens ist es keine fehlinvestition. ist halt keiin shooter sondern eine simulation, und wenn man mal gelernt hat damit umzugehen machts bedeutend mehr spass als ein shooter.

Dem kann ich nur beipflichten. Es wird sein Potenzial, wie Operation Flashpoint, auch erst im Laufe der Zeit voll entfalten. Wenn die Editing Tools veröffentlicht werden, fängt der ganze Spaß erst an ;)

Das war der Grund, warum ich es gekauft habe :)

Die Bugs, die schlimme AI, das Flugverhalten der Hubschrauber (hat nix mit Simulation zu tun), die Gräser (durch die man selber nicht sehen kann, aber die AI einen wunderbar sieht) usw. usf.

Das waren die Gründe, warum ich es nach wenigen Tagen wieder weg gelegt hab. ^^

Nunja ... ein bugfreies Game wird es wohl auch nicht mehr zukaufen geben.... aber im Fall von Arma kann ich mit den Bugs erstmal leben.... früher oder später werden gefixt...

Und da es sich bei Arma nicht um ein Mainstreamshooter handelt macht die Art und Weise wie man diverse Aufgaben (Coops) lösen kann um so spannender.

Also Arma is ein meinen Augen immernoch das geilste Spiel was es im mom auf dem Markt in dieser Richtung gibt....

P.S. ick spiele Arma übrigens nur Online, vondaher hab ich keine Ahnung was Offline alles für Bugs noch versteckt sind...

Ich freu mich schon riesig auf den nächsten Patch und hoffe das Game wird noch geiler als es ohnehin schon ist. :yeah:

Wie ein guter Furz der stinkt auch erst richtig wenn man selbst schon 10 Meter weiter ist.

nun die custom-faces etc. werden von/zu allen clienten (spielern) auf dem server übertragen und "verstopfen" dann natürlich die Leitung.

Im Fall der vorgestellten SoundMod´s handelt es sich um modifizierte Sounddateien die nur der Spieler selber hat und auch hört... es wird nix an andere Spieler oder Server übertragen....im Klartext heisst das nur man selber hört den modifizierten Sound der Waffe, wenn andere Spieler dich schiessen hören, hören sie den Standartsound oder den Sound aus ihrem SoundMod.

z.b. im Fall unseres Standart-Coop-Server bei gdt sind custom-faces unmöglich aber customsoundmods kein problem...

HOW TO INSTALL THE BETA

=======================

Run the exe to apply the setup automatically.

It will install all beta content to a mod folder "BETA" and STARTBETAPATCH.BAT to your ArmA directory (default is C:\Program Files\Bohemia Interactive\ArmA

There's no uninstall option. To remove the beta you need to manually delete the "BETA" directory and STARTBETAPATCH.BAT from your main game directory.

HOW TO RUN THE BETA

===================

You still can run your existing ArmA 1.05 normally by the existing shortcuts and as far as we know, the beta shouldn't interfere with your game so even after you installed the beta you should be able to install this beta patch normally.

To run beta 5143, you need to start STARTBETAPATCH.BAT in your ArmA game dirctory (defaul C:\Program Files\Bohemia Interactive\ArmA).

This beta contains only engine update. It doesn't contain any data releated changes (like missions fixes), which may lead into strange results in gameplay as missions don't reflect any changes made in the engine.

iT should be compatible with existing last official release 1.05 in multiplayer, however using it may also lead to some unexpected results.

Mission:

Coop (Max. 30 Spieler): Air Cavalry Deluxe

(Developing mission = neue Ziele kommen während des Spielens hinzu)

Settings:

- Beitritt während des Spiels (join in progress) möglich nach Anfrage im Teamspeak

- Respawn

- kein Fadenkreuz

- keine Spielhilfen (außer Dritte-Person)
